New Vacancy: Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an international organisation in Liverpool with the appointment of a Group Financial Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.

Incorporated in the early 80's, this solid organisation has grown via a number of acquisitions. This newly created role will provide added technical knowledge to the expanding team. This is an integral role supporting the Financial Controller with financial reporting and analysis.

The ideal applicant will be newly qualified or at finalist level (ACCA, ACA), and eager to join a business that will offer exposure, responsibility and career development opportunities.

You will be a conscientious individual who possess experience in IFRS statutory reporting, year end and tax. Knowledge of improving controls would be advantageous as you work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure compliance and reduce risk.

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Providing financial support, advice and guidance to the FD and senior stakeholders
  • Preparing company subsidiary and consolidated annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Report on monthly capital expenditure and VAT returns
  • Providing key statistical data for internal reporting and government surveys including, ONS surveys, KPI reporting and hedging analysis.
  • Assist with year-end audit and perform HMRC reconciliations and payments.
  • Assist with high volume bank transfers and payments both in sterling and foreign currencies.
  • Treasury management, produce cashflow reports and forecasting.
