About the Role

As our Group continues to expand, so does the complexity of financial reporting, intercompany transactions, and regulatory compliance. To support this growth and ensure accurate, insightful, and timely financial reporting at a Group level, we are introducing this newly created Group Financial Accountant role.

The Horizon Group consists of four main businesses, each operating in distinct yet complementary sectors:? Horizon Parking Ltd - One of the UK's largest parking management companies.? AEJ Management Ltd - Specialists in soft FM services, including cleaning & security.? Gleneagles Project Services Ltd - Experts in commercial project management.? PW Architectural Consultants Ltd - Specialists in architectural design.

With these businesses working together, we are experiencing rapid growth and increased financial complexity, requiring a dedicated Group Financial Accountant to oversee consolidated reporting, intercompany transactions, and financial compliance across all entities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, multi-entity organisation, where you will play a critical role in delivering accurate financial insights to senior management and the Board, directly supporting strategic decision-making at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

?? Prepare and manage consolidated financial statements for the Group.?? Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and other relevant accounting regulations.?? Oversee the preparation of financial accounts for multiple limited companies within the Group.?? Manage group tax reporting, including corporation tax, VAT, and other filings.

Month-End & Year-End Closing

? Lead the month-end and year-end close process across all entities.? Consolidate financial results, ensuring intercompany transactions are properly managed.? Support and liaise with external auditors during audits.

Budgeting & Forecasting

?? Support Group-wide budgeting and forecasting processes.?? Conduct variance analysis between actuals and forecasts to provide insights for senior leadership.

Treasury & Cash Management

?? Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity management for the Group.?? Manage intercompany management charges to ensure fair and accurate allocation of Group costs.

Stakeholder Communication & Board Reporting

?? Provide accurate financial information and reports to senior management and the Board.?? Ensure compliance with lender requirements, including MI pack preparation and covenant reporting.?? Collaborate with subsidiary finance leads to align financial strategies.

Systems & Process Improvement

?? Drive financial systems optimisation and reporting enhancements.?? Identify process improvement opportunities in financial consolidation and reporting.

What are we looking for?

We're seeking an experienced and analytical financial professional with strong technical accounting expertise, consolidation experience, and stakeholder management skills.

The ideal candidate will have....

? ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification with a track record in group-level financial reporting and consolidation.? Extensive UK GAAP knowledge and intercompany accounting experience.? Experience in multi-entity group structures, ideally in a growing business.? A proven ability to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting systems.? Strong stakeholder management skills, including Board-level reporting.? Technical expertise in financial modelling, cash flow forecasting, and audit preparation.? Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.? Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
