Equifind are supporting a global wealth management firm based in the City of London to recruit a Group Financial Controller.

As they continue to thrive, the need for a commercially-minded accountant has arisen to run the finance operations for their overseas entities. Leading a team of three accountants, the role is responsible for delivering finance business partnering to overseas regions.
The team is responsible for ensuring that these regions report accurate and timely financial information to the UK as well as overseeing liquidity, funding, business acquisitions and other financial oversight of the overseas locations.
What will I be doing?
- Manage a team of three accountants responsible for business partnering and financial oversight of overseas businesses
- Review and analysis of financial results, balance sheets and cash flow of the overseas entities including provision of detailed commentary for consolidated reporting of the International business
- Oversight of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process and consolidation of the overseas entities
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the overseas businesses including country and regional CFOs and Finance teams, as well as stakeholders in the wider business including senior leadership
- Support the overseas regions in the production of annual budgets and forecasts, working with the FP&A team in the UK and in accordance with group timelines
- Lead significant project to roll out a new general ledger system globally including supporting the overseas regions as they design, test and implement the new systems and associated submodules
- Ensure overseas entities are sufficiently funded by appropriate mechanisms where required (e.g. loans) and coordinate the payment of dividends to group

What do I need to apply?
- Qualified accountant (preferably audit trained)
- At least 7 years of post-qualified experience in a similar reporting role
- Advanced-level Excel skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent report writing and able to confidently liaise with a range of stakeholders
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of UK GAAP
- Experience in preparing management account and key performance data
- Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills
