Group Financial Controller - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyOur client is an ambitious and growing locally owned business that will support their staff on their career journey. You will be a key member of the Finance team producing the finance information and commercial reports to support the operational teams. Working in a fast-paced business, you will work with a wider team to help the business achieve its commercial goals. Your new roleAs the Group Financial Controller, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Manage, mentor and motivate the finance team 4
• Oversee preparation and presentation of the monthly management accounts to the board of Directors with insights
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
• Preparation of year-end packs for external auditors and annual statutory accounts
• Develop and implement internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
• Monthly cash flow analysis and Re-forecasting
• Management of day-to-day financial activities
• Act as a key partner to the other Heads of Departments in strategic and operational areas of the business.
• The ability to challenge processes and colleagues and drive continuous improvement both in the department and in the wider business.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Accountant with experience in an SME
• Commercially astute and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Thorough and methodical attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent judgement in all company matters
• Highly motivated and can lead and positively influence others.
