Group Financial Controller Chelmsford Essex Up to 70,000 p/a**5 days a week required in the Chelmsford office**
Are you a confident Financial Controller with exposure to manufacturing and stock management?
This leading global manufacturer is looking for a Group Financial Controller to join their growing finance team. This is a newly created role and will allow the right candidate to "make the role their own".
The primary function of this role will be to oversee all accounting functions for the group. You will be responsible for the collection, analysis and consolidation of data to assist the Group Finance Director in the effective management of the Group's finances.
This will include co-ordinating and preparing monthly group accounts, daily and 13-week cashflows, annual budgets and forecasting along with scheduled and ad hoc projects.
Key Skills/Qualifications needed:
• Exposure to manufacturing and stock management. • ACCA or CIMA qualified with proven experience in a similar role.• Strong financial management, analytical and problem-solving skills• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.• Intermediate level MS Office, particularly Excel.• ERP experience, ideally in Sage 200• Ability to stay calm under pressure and a proven diplomatic but firm manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations within the team including sales ledger, purchase ledger, general ledger as well as all banking facilities.• Oversee the payroll function including pension contributions and benefits• Cashflow management, overseeing cash and optimising accounts receivable and payable processes.• Preparation of accurate and timely monthly group accounts for review alongside financial analysis and supporting reconciliations.• Generation of monthly reports for the Sales teams to include order, invoices and margin analysis.• Oversee and ensure accurate VAT return completion.• Monitoring and reviewing the business controls and processes to ensure reduction of inefficiencies and continuous improvement.
Salary : 65000 - 70000
