Robert Half is excited to partner with a leading PLC in Solihull to recruit a Group Financial Reporting Manager. This role offers an attractive salary of up to £120,000, flexible hybrid working, and a comprehensive corporate benefits package.

This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who excels in a dynamic, collaborative environment. We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual with deep expertise in technical accounting, exceptional organisational abilities, and a proven capacity to perform under pressure. As Group Financial Reporting Manager, you will play an instrumental role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the company's financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and results.
  • Act as a technical accounting expert, specialising in IFRS 9 compliance.
  • Draft technical accounting papers, especially concerning acquisitions, disposals, emerging business areas, and the application of new accounting standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of Group tax returns in partnership with external providers, ensuring full compliance with relevant tax legislation.
  • Collaborate closely with external auditors to ensure an efficient audit process.
  • Present technical accounting papers to the Board Audit Committee, articulating complex accounting matters clearly and effectively.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IFRS and tax compliance.
  • Analytical Abilities: Skilled in interpreting complex accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements, with the capacity to apply these effectively to the Group's unique needs.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex technical concepts, such as accounting judgments, to the Board and relevant committees, fostering informed decision-making.
  • Negotiation Skills: Confidence in engaging with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies on complex matters, supporting the company's best interests.
