Group HR Manager
  • Annual Salary: £40,000-£60,000pa

REED HR have partnered with a fantastic organisation in Kent who are seeking a Group HR Manager to oversee HR operations across multiple companies within a blue-collar environment. This role encompasses a wide range of HR functions, including performance management, reward, training, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in HR management and a proven track record of enhancing workforce productivity and satisfaction.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Rewriting contracts and job specifications. 
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy of multiple companies.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process to ensure alignment with organisational needs and culture.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program, assessing the competitiveness and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, mitigating risks and overseeing HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and designs and implement a training plan with input from business heads.
  • Manage succession planning of staff within the group of companies.
  • Provide decision support through HR metrics, compiling reports from the database as needed.
  • Projects on Training and Rewards & Benefits. 
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in a blue-collar or similar industry.
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and HR systems.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
  • Degree in CIPD Human Resources or related field; further training or certification in Human Resource Management will be a plus.
