An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented, qualified Management Accountant to join a strong finance team at one of the North West's most prestigious and successful companies.
The Management Acacountant will form an integral part of the Group Management Accounts Team, supporting operational and financial management through reporting, forecasting, analysis and management of financial performance.
The successful candidate will be a valuable member of a team of finance professionals who provide a full suite of management accounting and FP&A support to the divisional finance teams and to the wider business.
What you'll do:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, which involves analysis of data, preparation and posting of journals in SAP and quality review of reported information.
- Preparation of quarterly forecast and annual budget journals and analyses.
- Undertake financial analysis to support/drive the commercial objectives of the business.
- Support divisional departmental managers in managing their financial budgets and forecasts.
- Improve and develop the quality and efficiency of financial/management information required throughout the business.
- Undertake financial analysis and forecasting for group cashflow.
- Provide assistance with continuous improvement projects following the transition to SAP.
Ideal profile:
- CIMA Qualified
- Relevant and transferrable management accounting experience, preferably in a large organisation.
- Analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently where required.
- Proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills, especially Excel; knowledge of SAP (or other ERP systems) would be an advantage.
