The company has grown significantly, and while the finance team has managed tax compliance with some outsourcing, the complexity of the business now requires a dedicated tax professional. You'll take full ownership of all tax matters, ensuring compliance across the group while maximising opportunities, particularly in areas like R&D tax credits. This role also offers the chance to collaborate across the business, working with both internal and external stakeholders to influence key decisions and drive strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Corporation Tax: You'll manage the group's corporation tax compliance, ensuring all filings are accurate and timely. You will also provide strategic advice to ensure tax is efficiently integrated into key business decisions.
• R&D Tax Credits: You will lead the R&D tax credit process, working closely with external advisers to maximise claims and integrate tax credits into financial planning.
• VAT: Oversee the VAT process for both UK and global operations, ensuring compliance while focusing on optimising cash flow and minimising risks.
• Global Tax Compliance: Manage the group's tax compliance across global jurisdictions, including withholding taxes, import/export duties, and payroll taxes.
• Tax Strategy & Compliance: Collaborate with the finance team and senior stakeholders to stay ahead of legislative changes, driving continuous improvements across all tax processes.

Solid tax experience is essential, particularly in managing compliance and ensuring everything is up to date. While corporation tax experience is required, if you lack solid hands-on experience in areas like VAT or R&D tax credits, it won't hold you back. What matters most is your ability to take ownership, embrace new challenges, and adopt a proactive approach to learning. A CTA qualification or working towards it is preferred.
