Handy Person - Kier Group : Job Details

We're looking for a Handyperson to join our Kier places team based in RAF Wethersfield.

Location: RAF Wethersfield, Essex

What will you be responsible for?

As a Handyperson, you'll be working within the Kier places team, supporting them in delivery of a Facilities Management Hard & Technical Services solution for our prestigious client, the Home Office. You will be providing planned & reactive general maintenance at RAF Wethersfield..

Your day to day will include:

• You will carry out maintenance such as fixing loose carpeting, hanging and re-fixing items to walls, patching paintwork and minor drain blockages, toilet seat re-fixing and replacements, re-fixing door handles, loose hinges/items, replace slats in blinds, shower fixings and rails.
• Small scale movement of furniture and boxes will also be a requirement.
• To plan and prioritise own workload to achieve objectives and time dependant jobs issued by the Helpdesk.
• To work in conjunction with the occupying client - To adhere to all company & client terms and conditions.
• To take personal responsibility for the presentation of the building and have full ownership of all site issues. Report any defect or breakdown to the helpdesk and record the instance in the site log book and proactively review outstanding work and update as necessary
