We are excited to announce the re-opening of our client's A la Carte Restaurant, located in a historic building on the outskirts of Croydon. We are seeking a creative and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-quality Traditional British and European Cuisine and to make your mark by helping to develop new menus.

• Lead and manage the kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
• Develop new menu items, reflecting Traditional British and European Cuisine with a modern twist.
• Manage food purchasing and storage, maintaining a budget and minimising waste.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with the management team to enhance the dining experience and uphold the restaurant’s reputation.
• Manage the kitchen schedule, accommodating varying operating hours and functions.
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, with a strong background in British and European Cuisine.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team with a hands-on approach.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Creative flair with a passion for menu development and culinary innovation.
• Strong knowledge of best practices for food handling and sanitation.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings, and to adapt to the needs of the restaurant, especially when hosting functions.
