Are you looking for a head chef role that allows you the flexibility and creative freedom to apply your own spin on French and Italian cuisine?

My client based in Thatcham are looking for an experienced head chef with ambition, a passion for cooking and a proactive nature to create an exceptional food experience for their customers.

Location: Theale

Position: Head Chef

Cuisine: Italian // French

Working Hours:

• Evenings only
• Tuesday to Sunday
• 5:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• No Mondays

Salary: 

£35,000+ (Competitive / Negotiable)

Start Date: ASAP

Requirements:

• Must be skilled in cooking Italian cuisine
• Experience with a la carte menu, particularly fish and steaks
• Open to creativity in the kitchen
• No DBS check required

• Have experience in a similar Head Chef role
• Strive for excellence in an enthusiastic and motivated manner
• Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers
• Have a desire to succeed in your role
• Possess the ability to work under pressure
• Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability

Duties:

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food for customers.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services, and menu options
• Cater to individual dietary requirements 
• Ordering food, looking after stock control and controlling food waste
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Team Structure:

• Manager
• Head Waiter
• Cooking solo (My client can on board sous chef to assist)
