Head of Accounts Payable Fixed Term Contract - eFinancialCareers : Job Details

Key responsibilities

• Your primary role will be to manage the Accounts Payable team, coordinating their day to day activities whilst also helping them navigate a company-wide finance transformation programme.  Experience of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 / AX suite or other well-known ERP software is a requirement for this role
• Report regularly to the Finance Director and senior management team on progress and developments within Accounts Payable
• Lead the processing of high volume and high value payments across jurisdictions, including time critical Treasury and Sales and Purchase payments, as well as overseeing crew payroll activities
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and sanctions matters related to payments
• Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data for accounts payable and the general ledger
• Highlight any weaknesses in finance systems or processes post implementation

?Skills required

• Successful track record working as a ‘hands on’ Head of Accounts Payable/ Senior Accounts Payable Manager in organisations with significant revenues and a strong asset base. A background in the shipping industry would be advantageous but not essential
• Extensive practical experience in managing a high volume and high value payments function within a fast paced, analytical and entrepreneurial environment
• Experience in change management and system implementations would be an advantage. Proven ability to add value in a transformation programme. 
• Experience of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 / AX suite or other well-known ERP software is a requirement for this role
• You will have experience of financial reporting and/or the use of Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI
• Confident and effective presentation skills, verbal and written, able to interact with senior stakeholders within the company
