Head of Clearing Operations - McGregor Boyall : Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Head of Clearing Operations to join our senior leadership team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clearing and settlement operations, ensuring operational excellence, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

• Provide strategic leadership for the Clearing Operations team
• Oversee clearing and settlement processes including position lifecycle and collateral management
• Manage relationships with critical service providers and payment system banks
• Lead risk management initiatives and maintain robust operational controls
• Drive process optimization and technological advancement
• Ensure regulatory compliance and operational resilience
• Manage departmental budget and resources
• Lead and develop a high-performing team

• Significant leadership experience in financial markets operations
• Extensive knowledge of clearing house/exchange operations
• Deep understanding of clearing and settlement processes
• Strong background in risk management and regulatory compliance
• Experience with default management, margining, and position management
• Track record of successful team leadership and development
• Degree qualified (preferred)
• Professional qualifications in operational risk or related field (advantageous)
