Overview:
As the Head of Compliance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm operates in line with regulatory standards while fostering a strong compliance culture. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the compliance function.
Working for a progressive & diverse business with a large range of products & services, you will oversee compliance in areas such as insurance, leasing, asset finance and travel management. You will be expected to engage with third parties and SME’s for professional guidance as required.This role is ideal for a compliance professional looking for flexibility, as you can structure your 3/4 days a week to suit your requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted compliance advisor to the business
- Support the implementation and enhancement of the firm's compliance framework, ensuring it remains aligned with evolving UK regulations.
- Conduct horizon scanning for regulatory changes, assess their impact, and support implementation.
- Assist in regulatory reporting, policy development, and compliance monitoring activities.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure advice, disclosures, and processes meet regulatory requirements.
- Support compliance training initiatives to foster a strong culture of regulatory awareness.
- Engage with the FCA and other regulatory bodies, assisting with responses to regulatory queries and thematic reviews.
- Contribute to internal audits, risk assessments, and governance reporting.
Qualifications
- A degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field and professional qualifications in compliance or risk management are advantageous.
- Proven experience in a compliance role, preferably within a regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and standards applicable to the industry.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable policies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: £60,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
