A Head of Compliance is sought to oversee and manage the legal compliance operations within a l property sector. The successful candidate will have solid knowledge and understanding of legal requirements, frameworks, and auditing practices.

Description

The Head of Compliance will report directly into the Legal Partner of the firm and will be responsible for the full compliance function, including management of one junior compliance officer.

Initially, the Head of Compliance will need to undertake a gap analysis to understand the current compliance structure.

The post holder will :

• Develop and implement the company's legal compliance programme
• Advise management on the company's compliance with laws and regulations
• Assess company operations to determine compliance risk
• Conduct audits to ensure adherence to standards and regulations
• Train employees on legal and compliance issues
• Review and update company policies
• Prepare and present compliance reports to the board
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulators as necessary

Profile

A successful Head of Compliance should have:

• Strong knowledge of industry legal and compliance regulations including data protection, anti-bribery & corruption, competition, modern slavery, corporate gifts.
• Proven experience in a compliance role
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
