We have a fantastic opportunity to join Sovereign Network Group as Head of CorporateStrategy and Performance. This is a key strategic leadership role atSNG, designed to support the business in aligning to, and delivering against, ourambitiousCorporatePlan.

It's a really exciting time to join us as Sovereign have joined forceswith Network Homes to form SNG (Sovereign Network Group). Together we provide over 84,000 homes and invest in communities across London and the South of England.

Based fromour offices in Basingstoke or Wembley, you'll combine home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance. There will be some travel required between these offices, so you should have access to transport and be happy to travel.

The Role

Reporting into the CorporateStrategy and People Director, you'll be responsible for leading the development and ongoing performancemonitoring of SNG's CorporatePlan. You'lllead a team that provides robust and data-drivensupport for strategicactivityfromplanning to execution.

You'll work with leaders across the business to develop their supporting strategies robustly, ensuring alignment to ourCorporatePlan, and shaping initiativesthat will step-change SNG's performance to achieve ourcorporateobjectives and KPIs. You'llleadSNG's annual planning process, facilitating quarterly assurance reviews of directoratedelivery plans and providing regular updates on how we are performing against ourCorporatePlan to the Executive Board, SNG Board and wider business. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, implementing and embedding the framework for translating SNG's CorporateStrategy into business plans, objectives and measurable KPIs to ensure it meets the needs of the organisation and supportsdelivery of ourstrategic goals
  • Leading the CorporateStrategydevelopment process, including the annual deliveryplanning and quarterly review process, working cross-functionally to deliver an approach that ensures alignment of resource allocation and delivery plans to the CorporatePlan and our risk appetite
  • Overseeing the development and execution of SNG's policy framework, including regular reporting on the adherence to the policy review schedule, and effectiveness/impact of any policy changes
  • Providing performance and progress updates on the execution of SNG's CorporatePlan and Supporting Strategies, allowing for continuousmonitoring, evaluation, and adjustment of the strategyperformance framework to ensure alignment with changing business needs
  • Working with the finance and Data & Analytics teams on the development of an enterprise PerformanceMeasurement and Reporting framework and balanced scorecard
  • Leading on regular reviews of ourStrategicExecution Principal Risk, defining risks, controls and mitigation approaches, escalating impacts to delivery of the CorporatePlan
  • Monitoring and analysing key HR metrics and data to inform decision making, drive operationalimprovements and improve organisational metrics and health
  • Evaluating emerging industry and business trends that will impact SNG's future, whether opportunities or threats, and communicating insights to the executive and senior leadership teams

What we're looking for

You'll need to demonstrate strong experience in a similar senior role, leading on corporatestrategy and performancemonitoring. You'llhave proven experience of developing and implementing frameworks to supportstrategicdelivery and facilitate the development and delivery of solutions and projects. You'll also need:

  • Significantexperience of designing, planning, and executingstrategy and business change projects including, stakeholdermanagement, risk analysis, reporting and communications
  • Comprehensiveunderstanding of performancereporting frameworks, ability to identify key drivers of performance and provide reporting to deliver improvements
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in developinginnovative solutions to business problems using hypothesisdriven approaches and option/scenario planning
  • Significant project/programme/portfolio managementexperience involving complex business workstreams across the whole lifecycle, fromobjectivedefinition and scope of works onwards
  • Demonstrableexperience of working successfullywithstakeholdersat all levels including Board and Executive level
  • Strong, persuasive written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted and credible relationshipswith key influencers across the organisation
  • Ability to monitor, analyse and interpret HR metrics to inform strategicdecision making and drive operationalimprovements
  • An awareness of project managementmethodologies, withqualifications in either TOGAF, change management or project managementqualification (APMP/Prince2) or equivalentexperience
  • Previous experiencefrom within the Housing sector is desirable
