Head of Customer Insight - Retail E-Commerce

Location: Yorkshire area (Hybrid Working)Day Rate: £600/dayContract Length: 3 months

The Role:We're seeking a Head of Customer Insight to lead data-driven strategies, turning customer information into actionable plans that boost engagement and revenue. You'll focus on identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities across retail e-commerce services while leveraging advanced tools and analytics platforms to deliver impactful insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing customer behavior and trends using customer data platforms and SCV systems to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Developing and implementing cross-sell strategies to maximize customer value across product ranges.
  • Driving customer segmentation and profiling to uncover potential areas for revenue generation.
  • Partnering with marketing, product, and commercial teams to create targeted, data-backed campaigns.
  • Building and optimizing dashboards and reports to provide clear insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensuring data quality and governance to support effective business decisions.
  • Mentoring BI and insights teams to encourage innovation and a data-first mindset across the organization.

Skills & Experience:The successful candidate will bring:

  • Strong experience in customer insights or analytics roles within the retail e-commerce industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of tools like SQL, Power BI, and Tableau for data analysis and visualization.
  • Proven expertise in customer segmentation, profiling, and behavior analysis to support business objectives.
  • Experience leveraging SCV platforms to improve customer engagement and retention strategies.
  • A track record of creating and implementing cross-sell and upsell strategies to drive business growth.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to develop teams and enhance collaboration across departments.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of e-commerce trends and customer engagement strategies.
  • Experience in subscription-based models or managing online retail platforms.
