About the role

At Hyde, we’re looking for a visionary Head of Information Systems Architecture & Data to lead our approach to systems and data, ensuring our architecture and platforms enable us to deliver exceptional value to residents and achieve our strategic goals.

As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you’ll shape Hyde’s technology landscape, champion data-driven decision-making, and lead the integration of scalable, innovative solutions. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of modern systems thinking, fostering collaboration across the business and driving impactful change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:Shape and implement Hyde’s systems and data architecture strategy, aligning technology with business goals.Lead initiatives to foster a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Excellence:Oversee Hyde’s data strategy, ensuring high-quality, accessible data supports analytics and decision-making.Drive integration architecture to enhance data flows, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Technology Innovation:Develop a future-focused architecture roadmap, leveraging emerging technologies to support Hyde’s mission.Collaborate with IT teams and third-party providers to design scalable and efficient systems.
  • Operational Management:Ensure Hyde’s systems and data infrastructure are secure, compliant, and scalable to meet evolving needs.Support data governance initiatives and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
  • Team Leadership:Inspire and lead a talented team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.Provide training, development, and succession planning to ensure high performance.
  • Risk and Compliance:Implement data security measures to safeguard sensitive information and ensure GDPR compliance.Identify and address emerging risks, feeding into Hyde’s corporate risk register.

Essential Technical Skills and Experience

  • A deep understanding of data engineering principles, including data architecture, data modelling, and data lakes.
  • Proficiency in technologies like Redshift, Kafka and other AWS data related technologies.
  • Current experience of working within a modern Data environment
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable and resilient enterprise architecture.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based and on-premise system architectures, including hybrid models.
  • Familiarity with microservices, APIs, and integration platforms to support seamless data exchange.
  • Experience of running predictive modelling usecases to help data driven decision making
  • Extensive experience in data architecture, governance, and management, ensuring high-quality and accessible data.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data lakes.
  • Experience with enterprise software solutions, including ERP, CRM, and BI platforms.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Proven experience in aligning IT strategy with business objectives to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
