Head of Enterprise Digital Architecture - Insurance - 6 months - Inside IR35

Eames Consulting are currently assisting one of our key insurance clients in the search for a Head of Enterprise Digital Architecture, in this role you'll be looking after a team of 3 to 4 architects who's main focus is to determine the technology system architecture and functional design strategy needed to support and meet the business goals. This role would suit a Senior Lead Architect or Architect Team Lead. Reporting to Chief Architect.

What you'll be doing:In this role you'll be responsible for Enterprise Digital Architecture, including Applications, Strategy. Digital Architecture, Integration and Governance. This will be a key technical, analytical and design focussed role, working with key business stakeholders, product owners, and multiple engineering teams.As Head of Enterprise Digital Architecture, you'll lead on and ensure that our Digital Architecture can be used as a corporate resource, including financial reporting, portfolio management and operational management. An important part of this role will include the management and mentorship of other Enterprise and Solution Architects within the team; ensuring they follow Architecture principles and recommended practices through fit-for-purpose governance.

Tech Stack: Microsoft House - Azure, .Net, SQL & Python.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading Digital Enterprise Architecture:
• Digital Application Architecture
• Building Digital Applications for Technology and core insurance teams i.e. Underwriting, Claims etc.
• Architecture on Digital Underwriting Platforms.
• Enterprise Architecture.
• Legacy to Cloud/Digital.
• Solution Design
• Working directly with the Infrastructure, Security, Data, Architecture and Engineering domains to support specific deliverables on the Azure Cloud platform.
• Generating graphic representations and abstracts of the target architecture models and communicating this across key IT stakeholders.
• Working on technology and architecture guardrails defining common elements and creating patterns and standards to apply at project level.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies when required, including ensuring the deliverables match the target architecture and requirements of the business.
• Attending the Enterprise Architecture Form (EAF) and Guardrails Working Group.
