Head of Finance & Accounting - Broadgate Search Ltd : Job Details

Broadgate are partnered with a dynamic and expanding bank in the search for a Head of Finance & Accounting. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of accounting expertise and a solid understanding of financial practices within the banking industry. This role offers the opportunity to directly contribute to strategic goals, handling all finance and accounting matters of the company on a day-to-day basis and playing a key role in the development of the business.

Location: Zurich, Switzerland/Vaduz, Liechtenstein

Salary: c.CHF200k

Responsibilities:

• Further develop processes in the Finance and Accounting division.
• Maintain and enhance the core banking system and subsystems with a focus on financial accounting functionalities.
• Leading the monthly financial closing process and prepare the financial reports in accordance with the provisions of the Liechtenstein Persons and Companies Act and the Liechtenstein Banking Act, together with the Liechtenstein Banking Ordinance.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare the monthly reporting to the Executive Board and the Board of Directors.
• Maintain and further develop the Internal Control System over Financial Reporting.
• Assist the CFRO in the annual budgeting process.
• Assist the CFRO in Finance and Accounting projects.

Requirements:

• Professional experience of at least 5 years in Accounting or Controlling within a bank in Switzerland or Liechtenstein is a must.
• Experience and strong knowledge of the local accounting standards.
• Affinity with blockchain technology and ideally first working experience in a fintech environment with touch points in digital assets, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies is a plus.
• Fluent German and English
