Head of Finance - Food - FRS Ltd : Job Details

Our client is a dynamic privately owned SME business operating within the food manufacturing Industry with a UK head office based in Cambridgeshire but with international presence

As part of the companies continued expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of the companies first In House Accountant to join the business as Financial Controller / Head of Finance.

This position will work closely with the MD (Major Share Holder) and act as the No 1 in Finance.

Key to this position will be the financial management of the business however also playing a key role in Commercial and Strategic decision in partnership with the MD are part of the companies growth and desire for continuous improvement

• To develop and mentor direct reports and wider business teams supporting the MD
• Management Accounts Controls, Budgeting & Forecasting
• Evaluate commercial proposals and tenders, CAPEX / OPEX proposals
• Overall responsibility for standard costing process
• Help evolve current KPI's metrics and MI to drive business performance
• Business Partnering to all functions (Non Finance Professionals)
• Adhering to deadlines for financial accounting matters
• Lead contact for Insurance and Audit
• Manage risks and opportunities
• Strategy Meetings with MD and wider SLT.

As a newly created Finance Leadership position, this offers an excellent opportunity to truly build out this role and make it your own.

The ideal candidate will be full qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and ideally have PQE gained within and manufacturing environment to include exposure to Costing and Sock.

Those that are P/Q or QBE with suitable experience will still be considered.
