Key Responsibilities of the Head of Finance:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with growth objectives, supporting long-term planning and resource allocation
- Oversee accurate, timely financial reporting, delivering insights that influence strategic decisions and enhance performance
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring effective variance analysis and predictive accuracy
- Work across departments to identify and implement strategies for operational improvement and increased profitability
- Maintain a keen focus on cash flow and working capital strategies, securing financial stability and liquidity
- Establish robust risk management practices and ensure full compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Nurture a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning
- Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing critical financial insights and support for negotiations
- Evaluate current financial systems, implement new technologies, and streamline processes to boost efficiency
Head of FinanceCandidate Profile
- Expertise in financial principles, regulatory standards, and advanced financial modelling
- Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing finance teams
- Capable of anticipating financial trends and implementing proactive strategies
- Strong presentation skills, adept at influencing and engaging stakeholders
- Ideally experienced in recurring payments or similar sectors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; Master's/MBA preferred
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- 10+ years' finance experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior finance leadership role
- Proficient in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel
