- A chance to use your finance skills to make a meaningful difference.
- Finance change and transformation opportunity
- A senior leadership role within a meaningful organisation
Are you online searching for a job, but actually searching for your meaning and purpose and would like to use your finance skills to do more than just make shareholders richer? Here's a chance to use your corporate finance expertise to actually make a difference. We're looking for a Head of Finance for a South Yorkshire organisation that does genuinely meaningful work (no, really!). But this isn't your standard third-sector role and we need someone who can bring commercial rigour and transformation experience from the private sector. What's in it for you:
- c£85,000-90,000
- South Yorkshire based (3 days on site - leading a large team, so you'll need to be around them in person to work closely to develop and motivate them to perform at their best)
What makes this interesting:
- You'll be leading a finance transformation project and be excited to see the positive impact of your efforts and skills.
- You've got a team of c50 people who need strong leadership
- You'll be working with people who care about their mission more than their margins
You'll need:
- An accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with senior level post-qualification experience
- Experience of motivating finance functions to move with the times and into the 21st century
- The ability to explain complex financial concepts to people who don't live and breathe Excel
- Commercial experience (and lots of it from large and complex organisations, this organisation has more in common with a large plc than a small CIC)
The interesting bits not in the corporate JD:
- The finance team needs modernising but they're good people who want to change
- You'll have genuine influence at board level
- The culture is collaborative rather than political
- Your work will contribute to something more meaningful than quarterly earnings calls
