Daniel John Recruitment are exclusively partnering with an expanding company based near Solihull. As the Head of Finance and a member of the senior management team you will be part of a business expected to grow to £25m turnover this year.
The ideal candidate will be a chartered Accountant with strong core skills in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will be responsible for supporting the Group finance function with accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on financial performance, profitability, and resource allocation.
- Lead the finance team of 3 individuals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee the creation and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Analyse financial performance, identify key trends, and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Lead the management of internal and external audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Possess strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Have exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Hold advanced proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, BI tools).
- Possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
