Head of Finance - Reed : Job Details

• Annual Salary: Up to £60,000 Per Annum
• Location: Tiptree
• Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 08:30-17:00 (Flexi Time available)

We are seeking a Head of Finance to oversee our financial operations, ensuring effective management and compliance, and playing a crucial role in supporting and developing our finance team.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cost accounting.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly management reports, statutory accounts, and board reports.
• Work closely with the Managing Director and Production Manager to enhance financial efficiency in procurement, manufacturing, and distribution processes.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and industry statutory requirements.
• Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure professional growth and high performance.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiencies.
• Develop and monitor robust internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Team player with experience in a small team environment, comfortable being hands-on and developing team members of varied experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Comfortable operating in dynamic or fast-growing environments that require flexibility.
• Ability to build relationships at all levels within a business.
• Proven track record in operational finance.
• Strong systems and IT skills.
• Proficient in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, or CIMA) is essential.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes is an advantage.
