Head of Commercial Finance/FP&A/Financial Planning & Analysis

Robert Half is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a high-growth professional services provider to recruit for an exciting senior commercial finance opportunity. Joining our client on a 12-month contract, you will be responsible for successfully leading the FP&A function while partnering with the senior finance team.

The commercial finance team is currently responsible for providing data insights that enable the business to make financially sound decisions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to further improve the division. The business is extremely collaborative and consistently strives for success, as evidenced by its impressive track record of growth over the last five years.

Responsibilities:

• Provide financial reports with analysis for the senior leadership team to drive the business forward, creating recommendations and business plans.
• Conduct business case analysis using internal tools (Power BI) and create scenario-based models.
• Perform variance analysis with in-depth forecasting on multiple large-scale projects.
• Lead the quarterly and yearly budgeting and planning processes for the business, overseeing high-profile budgeting meetings.
• Manage the forecasting process by supporting internal managers in understanding financial findings and suggesting improvements to enhance decision-making.

Your Profile:

• You are a high-achieving, fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with prior experience in leading the commercial finance function.
• You have demonstrable experience in leading the forecasting and budgeting processes.
• You possess strong modelling skills in Excel and Power BI.
• You thrive in situations that require you to quickly build relationships with stakeholders.
• You have strong analytical skills and can confidently present financial findings and figures.
