Head of Financial Reporting - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyA growing, Bath-based business is looking to recruit a Head of Financial Reporting to join the team in this newly created role. Your new roleReporting into the Finance Director and managing a team of 5 people, this role will lead and support the operational finance function, delivering financial reports and year-end accounts to ensure regulatory compliance. Key elements of the role include:

• Report and provide written commentary of month end performance with variance analysis
• Lead on monthly management accounts, forecasting and KPI analysis.
• Coordinate on the production of year-end statutory accounts.
• Lead on the production of the annual budget model.
• Review aged debt.
• Implementing controls, policies and procedures within financial reporting and the wider finance team.
• Manage a team of 5 people, carrying out reviews and supporting their development
• Support the transactional team and help develop efficiencies but also any potential business opportunities.

What you'll need to succeedWe are looking for a Qualified Accountant with all round strategic and analytical skills. You should have strong experience in management accounts, budget preparation and forecasting for a business. Naturally, you will have good technical abilities-but you should also be people-orientated, able to lead and motivate a team of accountants. In addition, you should be able to bring ideas to the table and have strong attention to detail.What you'll get in returnThe role is being offered on a hybrid basis, allowing the successful candidate to work from the office 2 days per week.
