Head of FP&A | Well-Established Financial Services Company| Remote

Harmonic are delighted to partner with a leading fintech company in their search for a strategic Head of Pricing to lead their pricing team. The client provides comprehensive services to financial institutions and retailers worldwide and are recognized for their innovative solutions within the industry. Operating in 52 countries and providing services to customers in 100+ countries, they have placed themselves as global market leaders and are looking to recruit a high calibre leader to help them maintain this position and drive further innovation and growth going forward. They are currently undergoing a period of transformation which has seen the commercial team drastically increasing in size following the acquisition of new clients, with the finance and operations team following suit, fuelled by this growth.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Head of FP&A will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial planning and analysis operations within the business, providing insight and strategic support to drive financial performance and decision-making. This role includes leading the FP&A team in preparing budgets, forecasts, and detailed financial models to support both existing operations and new business initiatives. The Head of FP&A will be expected to review outputs, provide guidance to Financial Analysts, and ensure the delivery of insightful financial reporting. They must be adept at presenting complex financial data in clear, summarised formats for senior stakeholders. This position will work cross-functionally across multiple teams and will suit someone with strong communication skills who thrives on collaboration and business partnership. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and long-term planning processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership within the FP&A team and across the wider organization.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support business decision-making and strategy.
  • Act as a strategic thought leader in financial planning and use insights to enhance company performance.
  • Manage the preparation of financial reports, providing clear, actionable insights to the leadership team.
  • Collaborate with technical, sales, operations, and other finance teams to drive company growth.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and proposing solutions.
  • Establish and maintain governance and frameworks for financial planning processes.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives.
  • Track market trends and financial best practices to inform strategy.
  • Mentor and develop the Financial Analysts, supporting their growth and development.
  • Drive ongoing process improvements, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
  • Perform other ad-hoc financial tasks as required.

What we need to see (Essential):

  • Professional qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Proven track record in a similar FP&A leadership role, including managing planning processes and delivering actionable financial insights.
  • Exceptional financial modelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with an inquisitive approach.
  • Ambitious and self-motivated individual with the desire to lead and progress within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and build effective business partnerships.
  • High level of commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary:£100k + Bonus + Benefits
