With a strategic focus on hyper-growth, this business is actively expanding and preparing for an exciting future exit. We're looking for a Head of Global Accounting to lead our accounting function, delivering top-tier financial reporting and compliance for the group.

Role Overview

As Head of Global Accounting, you will have ownership of Group financial statements and oversee the comprehensive Group audit process led by KPMG. This role is based in London, and you'll have the opportunity to lead, mentor, and develop our accounting teams in both London and India. Your expertise in technical accounting and compliance will ensure that financial information meets all local laws, IFRS, and statutory requirements.

This is a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on the business's hyper-growth journey and prepare the Group for a successful exit, confidently leading the way through professional due diligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, review, and sign-off of Group financial statements and manage associated audits, including those for various corporate and Channel Island entities.
  • Oversee monthly results and ensure compliance with UK-based PE ownership standards.
  • Keep the Group Finance Manual updated to reflect the latest accounting standards and drive continuous improvements in financial reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Group Tax, Group Treasury, FP&A, and Regional Finance teams, providing strategic guidance and support.
  • Leverage expert technical accounting knowledge for Group audits, transactions, acquisitions, and disposals, ensuring precise accounting entries.
  • Play a pivotal role in positioning the Group for a future sale/exit, contributing to due diligence processes confidently.

Core Competencies

  • Essential Skills: Strong technical accounting knowledge, project management abilities, analytical skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • Key Attributes: Adaptability, proactive problem-solving, and a solution-oriented mindset. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Accountable, quality-focused, and experienced in managing and developing teams.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CA(SA), or equivalent with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven ability to lead teams to achieve objectives, manage complex projects, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Strong experience with group consolidation systems and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and highly detail-oriented, with a commitment to driving excellence.

This role offers the chance to be part of a PE-backed organisation on an accelerated growth path, where you can make a tangible impact on future success and play a vital role in preparing for an exit. If you're a driven, technically skilled accounting professional who thrives in a high-energy, growth-oriented environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today to become part of our ambitious journey and help shape the future of a company primed for success.
