Salary: £65,000 to £70,000 + Company Car Allowance, Bonus & Benefits Package.
Reporting Line: European HR Director.

The Company
Loom Talent have been retained by a leading European 3PL client at the forefront of their sector operating within the Retail, E-Commerce & FMCG space within warehousing and distribution.
The organisation are committed to excellence in service with the customer at the heart of everything they do, with a range of valued added propositions and seek a well-rounded and proactive, Head of HR to join the UK SLT.
This role oversees the UK businesses end to end HR policies, procedure and people strategies whilst helping support the company through periods of TUPE contract growth and even potentially acquisition.
The Role
The Head of HR - Contract Logistics will be given the autonomy to play a pivotal role in shaping the company's People strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Provide daily leadership to the UK Human Resources and Personnel team.
- Create an effective Talent Acquisition approach and subsequent internal best practice hiring strategy.
- Play an active part in the UK SLT.
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organisational levels both internally and externally.
Employee Relations & People Development Expertise:
- Adopt a coaching, feedback led, day-to-day performance development & management style, whilst fostering employee growth and development within the role.
- Handle employee grievances and conflicts professionally & effectively.
- Promote open communication and resolution of workplace issues.
- Identify training and development needs across the UK organisation, implement a training matrix to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Lead well being programs that support employee health and work-life balance, creating a supportive, positive working environment.
Employee Engagement & Cultural Transformation:
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture where employees feel empowered, motivated and engaged.
- Prior experience in leading culture change and people development agendas.
- Ensure Talent Attraction activities align to securing top talent while improving overall UK retention.
- Create strategic initiatives that encourage a positive employee experience and align with the company's values.
- Develop a plan on engaging with UK events supporting our chosen charities or strategic organisations and promoting the company as a employer of choice.
Employee Contracts, Reward & Benefits Alignment:
- Ensure comprehensive review of all employee contracts.
- Collaborate with legal experts where necessary to re-draft and update employee contracts.
- Implement ongoing best practice contract management processes.
- Lead efforts to acquire and align reward and benefits offerings across the business.
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation packages.
- Create and manage employee benefit programs that enhance job satisfaction.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate for the Head of HR - Contract Logistics opportunity will have the following skills and experiences.
- A minimum of 7+ years HR Management / Leadership experience - Essential.
- Have a proven awareness of working within a 3PL / Logistics or Distribution biased environment previously - Highly Advantageous.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification - Essential.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification - Highly Desirable.
- Worked with headcount remits in excess of 500+ staff - Essential.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best HR practices - Essential.
- A successful background in TUPE transfer and working within Unionised environments - Essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Essential.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to drive HR initiatives aligned with business goals - Essential.
- Be comfortable travelling within a multi-site, Midlands geographical network across; Bedford / Northampton / Cambridgeshire & East Anglia - Essential.
The Salary & Benefits
- Salary - £65,000 to £70,000.
