We are seeking a Head of Internal Reporting to join our growing business and play a pivotal role in shaping the Group's internal reporting framework. Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Reporting, this newly created role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of internal financial reports, driving efficiencies, and maintaining a robust financial control environment. - Develop and implement a robust internal reporting framework aligned with regulatory obligations and business objectives.
- Lead the preparation of executive-level reports for monthly/quarterly business reviews and strategic project reporting.
- Coordinate the Executive Finance Committee, including; developing frameworks to monitor financial efficiencies and deviations and preparing and presenting reports.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and provide actionable insights to senior management.
Financial Controls:
- Maintain efficient financial control processes, ensuring risks are identified, managed, and escalated appropriately.
- Oversee adherence to SLAs and ensure clear documentation of internal reporting processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial controls, ensuring alignment with regulations and standards.
Finance Transformation:
- Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within internal reporting and financial control functions.
- Act as an AI ambassador, driving innovation and adopting new technologies.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the Internal Reporting Team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure the team structure supports current and future business needs, with active succession planning in place.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of 7 years PQE.
- Experience in a similar role within a regulated or listed environment.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting standards, internal controls, and Board-level reporting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to present complex financial data clearly and effectively.
- Critical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
- High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
