Job Advertisement: Head of Learning Support (Permanent, 0.6 FTE)Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs? This is an exciting opportunity to join a flourishing Learning Support department at the forefront of a whole-school strategy to raise the profile of students with SEN.Position: Head of Learning SupportContract:0.6As the Head of Learning Support, you will work closely with all teachers to promote the wellbeing and learning potential of every student, ensuring their specific needs are met. In addition to providing support for students with specific learning difficulties, you will help students improve their social and emotional skills.Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in assessing access arrangements.
• Monitor the progress and achievement of students with special educational needs.
• Plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate effective intervention programs.
• Promote high-quality teaching and learning for students with special educational needs.
• Maintain records of students with special educational needs, including the SEND register and Provision Mapping.
• Liaise effectively with parents, students, and staff.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure the needs of SEND students are met in the classroom.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with the needs of pupils with learning difficulties such as ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia.
• Knowledge of strategies to support these students in achieving their potential.
• Access Arrangements Assessment qualification is desirable.
• Experience supporting EAL students is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiasm for working with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
