Head of Maintenance - Owen Daniels : Job Details

Role: Head of MaintenanceLocation: West MidlandsSector: FoodSalary: £50,000 - £60,000Owen Daniels Recruitment has engaged with a key client and an established Manufacturing company providing a wide range of services to the Food industry, and high-profile clients. Due to team & project growth an opportunity has arisen for a Head of Maintenance to join on a permanent basis.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary maintenance team, covering electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems.
• Ensure efficient maintenance of all plant machinery to reduce downtime and improve performance.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs across electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems.
• Oversee and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related issues.
• Manage capital projects, including new equipment installations and system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
• Manage the maintenance budget, including spare parts inventory and labour costs.
• Collaborate with production teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. 

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of maintenance management experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems.
• Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Proven leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with food safety and regulatory standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
