Head of People and Culture - £70,000

Permanent, Full-Time - Hybrid working 3 days office based - Essex

The Role:

As a key member of the client's leadership team, you will be pivotal in shaping their organisational culture and driving strategic initiatives that align with their mission and business objectives. Your expertise in HR will help create a high-performance environment that celebrates diversity and empowers employees to reach their full potential. You'll manage every aspect of talent management, from recruitment to leadership development, while ensuring their people operations align with both business growth and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Leadership: You will collaborate with the management team to shape and execute the company's business strategy, ensuring alignment with HR objectives.
  • Champion Culture: You will foster a vibrant, inclusive, high-performance culture that aligns with the company's core values.
  • Talent Management: Oversee the talent lifecycle – from workforce planning and recruitment to performance management and succession planning.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, morale, and engagement, ensuring a healthy and motivating work environment.
  • Leadership Development: Develop programs to nurture the next generation of leaders, ensuring a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Cultural Transformation: Lead change management efforts and embed the company's values into everyday practices.
  • Compliance & Policies: Ensure adherence to employment laws and best practices while developing policies that promote fairness and inclusivity.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • DE&I Initiatives: Drive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies to create an equitable workplace where everyone feels valued.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
  • CIPD L7 or equivalent is preferred

Experience & Skills:

  • Extensive HR generalist experience in a fast-paced industry.  
  • Proven track record in talent management, employee engagement, and leadership development
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR metrics, and HRIS systems
  • Demonstrative ability to influence and partner with senior leadership teams
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
  • A flexible, adaptable approach to working in an agile, fast-changing environment
