About the RoleAs the Head of Resident Engagement, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of Southwark's Housing Resident Involvement Strategy.
  • Drive innovative approaches to community engagement, empowering residents to influence and co-design landlord services.
  • Build and nurture strong, productive relationships with Tenant and Resident Associations (TRAs), local leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Manage a significant Resident Involvement Fund, ensuring resources deliver maximum impact.
  • Champion diversity, equality, and inclusion in all engagement activities.
  • Oversee the operational management of resident-led oversight and scrutiny boards.

What We’re Looking ForWe are seeking a candidate with:

  • Proven leadership experience in managing resident involvement teams.
  • A track record of delivering impactful community engagement projects.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic vision and deep knowledge of the social housing sector.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget planning and procurement.
  • A commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.
