Head of Operations and Sales. Salary £50,744 per annum dependant on experience plus great benefits. 36 hours per week (Monday to Sunday - flexible, out of hours and on-call included)St Pauls Cray/Sydenham (field based across sites/stores)C2 Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a leading charity to secure them a talented and forward-thinking Head of Operations and Sales. Reporting into the Director of Retail, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Charity leader who will be vital in supporting the growth and development of the charities retail arm.

Responsibilities of the Head of Operations and Sales:

• To lead and inspire the whole retail team which covers circa 50+ employees and 300+ volunteers to deliver revenue and profit targets, establish and deliver exemplary standards of customer service and compliance with all statutory regulations.
• To manage all operations for high street shops, the eCommerce and online department, the logistics team (trading van drivers and stock movements, refuse collection).
• To oversee general overall compliance for trading.
• To optimise sales and generate revenue.
• Line management responsibility of 4+ senior managers (Retail Area Managers/Ecommerce Manager, Relationship Manager, Logistic Manager).
• Lead the team to develop the retail strategy in order to deliver an increasing income stream in a cost-effective manner.
• Maximising sales and profitability throughout shops and all digital selling channels, build a strong eCommerce revenue stream.

The person- Head of Operations and Sales:

• You will have gained substantial experience within the charity retail sector particularly at a senior leadership level.
• Hands on experience of opening new shops
• Experience of recruiting retail staff
• Experience of leading and motivating teams in a pressurised environment
• Experience and understanding of working within financial budgets
• Knowledge of Health and Safety
• Experience in managing retail shops
• Experience in logistic and warehouse operations
• Experience in driving sales over online channels and eCommerce
• People Management of both salaried staff and volunteers
