Description
- Responsible for direct product sales and the motivation and management of international agency sales partners.
- Responsible for the management of the company's marketing and sales activities, including efficient capturing, ranking and following up of sales enquiries. Marketing through the company's website / social media and the attendance of international exhibitions and technical conferences.
- Pricing of quotations with an awareness of actual costs and expected gross margins.
- Continue to develop quotation and contract documents including conditions of sale which clearly address the responsibilities and obligations of supplier and customer.
- Selling products in 40+ countries. The HoS is expected to be alert to cultural differences around the world but understand and uphold the organisations strong ethical trading record.
- Reporting directly to the MD but expected to keep colleagues informed of customer negotiations and to present at monthly SMT meetings. Reporting on sales activity for the previous month.
- Product evolution - an awareness of advancements taking place in the marketplace, highlighting anything new which could potentially identify future sales and opportunities for the company to continue their successful history of continual innovation.
Profile
- Proven sales leader with experience and technical understanding of capital machinery.
- Thorough knowledge of international sales including letters of credit, export finance and managing international sales agents.
- Demonstrable experience in developing and delivering an international technical sales strategy.
- Familiarity with sales contracts for complex engineered, high value, low volume products.
- Excellent organisational and people skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
