Head of Supply Chain (£87,000 + Benefits)Syntech Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading manufacturer to find a high-calibre Head of Supply Chain. In this pivotal role, you'll lead and oversee all aspects of the supply chain, ensuring efficient material flow, optimised production strategies, and continuous improvement.

Competitive Remuneration Package:

• £87,000 base salary

About You:

• A seasoned Supply Chain professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven leadership experience.
• Proven track record of leading and developing a high-performing planning team.
• In-depth understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) principles, ideally with AX ERP experience.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• A passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to implementing best practices.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Supply Chain strategy that fosters agility and efficiency.
• Oversee material supply planning and control to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
• Optimise production strategies to minimise costs while maintaining optimal working capital levels.
• Manage customer demand effectively, guaranteeing sufficient capacity to meet short, medium, and long-term needs.
• Implement and oversee robust physical logistics processes for material movement, stock accuracy, Kanban systems, PFEP, and packaging.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and delivering projects within budget and timeframe.
• Manage and optimise warehouse operations, encompassing goods receiving, storage, and picking while adhering to customer specifications.
• Cultivate a team environment focused on professionalism and planning excellence.
• Mentor and coach team members to build a highly skilled and successful planning function.
• Serve as the company's Supply Chain planning Subject Matter Expert (SME), owning and driving KPIs like OTD, OTTR, backlog, inventory, and special freight.
• Implement local planning and operations KPIs to enhance both business performance and team behaviour.
• Embed best practices in warehouse and physical logistics processes through documentation, training, and maintenance.
• Leverage data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous optimisation.
• Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders throughout the company.
