Head of Technology Category

Contract Length: 1 year Engagement Type: Umbrella Location: Watford - Hybrid Position working 2/3 days a week within the office

Day Rate - £700 - £850.00 per day

Key Responsibilities

As the Head of Technology Category, you will maximise the value of the Technology Services category within the organisation. This role involves collaborating with the procurement leadership team and outsourced procurement service providers to deliver expertise in commercial, contractual, and risk management.

Your strategic focus will be on key stakeholders and budget holders responsible for managing expenditures and supplier relationships within related category supply chains. These stakeholders operate across diverse market sectors, utilising a wide range of services and solutions that often rely on third-party technologies and strategic partnerships.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Procurement Expertise: Extensive experience in developing and executing procurement strategies within the Technology sector, including IT software, hardware, infrastructure, and network services.
• Commercial Acumen: Proven track record of delivering quality and commercial benefits through effective stakeholder management.
• Complex Solutions Experience: Strong background in managing complex service engagements and Information Protection and Risk Assurance processes.
• Education: Degree qualified (or equivalent) and ideally a fully qualified member of a national procurement institute (e.g., CIPS, NEVI).
• Industry Experience: Relevant experience in Professional Services or Financial Services sectors is preferred.
