Permanent Vacancy – Head of Transformation and Change
Location: Northampton, NN1 (Hybrid)
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £56,921 - £65,814 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, full time
This role is pivotal in driving a comprehensive transformation portfolio aimed at modernizing and enhancing our operational efficiency, academic offerings, and strategic capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the transformation portfolio, ensuring alignment with the University’s strategic goals.
- Oversee the development and implementation of programme plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure successful delivery of all programme outcomes, including scope, time, cost, and quality.
- Engage and communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain effective relationships to secure buy-in and support for transformation initiatives.
- Establish and maintain effective governance structures to monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure accountability.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to the University Leadership Team and Board of Governors.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive change management strategy.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and adaptability.
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Manage the programme budget, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
- Define and track metrics to evaluate the success of the transformation portfolio.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Significant experience leading large-scale transformation programmes.
- Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives and the integration of technology.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Experience in change management, stakeholder engagement, and driving cultural change.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of inspiring and guiding diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Professional qualification in programme or project management (e.g., APM, PRINCE2, PMP).
