Head Office Assistant Accountant
Salary: Up to £35,000
Location: BD10 - Free parking!
Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:45 - 5:30pm (Potential Hybrid) and flexibility on the working hours.

This role is perfect for those who are able to work as a team but also working on their own and using their own initiative. You must be an advanced user with Excel as this is a big part of the role
Within your new role you will be responsible for:
- Managing the accounts across their sites- Monthly
- Reporting on the profitability of all sites
- Account Management
- Provide period management accounts, all daily/weekly and other financial reports and key figures as required, providing notes and analysis highlighting areas of concern to the Group Accountant.
- Undertake reviews of the accounts produced ensuring that any adverse trends or variances are explained and acted upon
- Ensure all Balance Sheet Accounts reconciled.
- Ensure that monthly group debtors and F&l reports take place involving the Group Accountant and all actions identified to be followed up.
- Produce an internal year end pack.
- Ensuring that regular submissions to HMRC, including the group VAT return, are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensuring accurate and complete processing in all accounting matters and being able to question and critically analyse and question data.
- Assisting the Head Office Accountant with any other ad-hoc tasks that may arise.
- Organising work within the accounts function as required to achieve the highest level of accuracy.
- 100% complete and accurate data collection- Using Excel
- Communicating effectively and professionally by telephone or email where required.
Skills/experience required for this position:
- Previous experience within an Accountant position is essential
- Account Management experience
- Ideally someone who has studied their AAT and looking to complete ACCA
- Advanced users with Excel- Macros, Manipulating Data ect- This is essential
- High level of attention to detail
- Hands on approach with eagerness to learn.
