As a temporary People Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in shaping their People & Culture strategy, ensuring they continue to provide outstanding support and remain a leader in their field.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver professional consultancy across all stages of the People Operations Roadmap, enhancing the colleague lifecycle for both employees and volunteers.
  • Provide expert advice on transactional and operational HR activities, ensuring high standards of customer-focused service.
  • Handle formal People Operations casework and employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with legal standards and risk management.
  • Develop workplans for People Operations activities, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery with a customer-centered focus.
  • Drive process efficiencies and promote self-service solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Participate in the review and implementation of people policies, providing guidance on their interpretation.
  • Collaborate on the development of People Systems and Analytics to improve data collection and analysis.
  • Develop and deliver training across the organisation to support compliance, security, safety, and personal development.
  • Engage with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and implementation of People & Culture initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Substantial experience in a similar level role managing complex casework and overseeing activities across the colleague lifecycle.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR practices, ideally demonstrated through a professional qualification (e.g., PGDip or MSc in HR Management) or substantial relevant experience.
  • Experience in delivering services for diverse communities, including employees, volunteers, workers, and contractors.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and operationally, with experience in a complex and demanding environment.
  • Strong influencing skills across various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deep curiosity about issues affecting our work and the ability to see opportunities for collaborative improvement.
