The School:
Wykeham Primary School is an inner-city area in the London Borough of Brent catering to a culturally and socially diverse area, which presents some challenges but also offers many rewards. We are a two-form entry school with an intake of pupils between the ages of three and eleven. Our dedicated and committed staff teach a broad and well-enriched curriculum which aims to cater for the needs of every child. Our Nursery offers part-time places for the morning session. We have our own swimming pool, a spacious computing suite, a well-resourced library, sports field, and gardening area and offers many extra-curricular activities in music, drama and sport. The school has been judged ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in a recent inspection.

Governors wish to appoint a visionary leader who will inspire and motivate colleagues to provide exemplary teaching and learning. We are looking for a clear thinker and a good communicator, who will engender trust and respect throughout the school, with a proven track record of success.
Our previous Headteacher has retired after twenty years in post and we are now seeking to appoint a leader who will build on the many strengths of the school and continue to lead the school with dedication, enthusiasm and expertise, whilst fostering a distinctive identity for the school. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate strong leadership, management and communication skills, with a passion for excellence in teaching and learning, and who will continue to improve standards and achievement.
