Health & Safety Compliance Manager with experience in managing compliance, hazards, and H&S within a social housing setting or similar, strong communication skills and good management / leadership skills, is required for a well-established housing association.

SALARY: £51,064 per annum + Excellent Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Evesham, Worcestershire (WR11) - with travel to other offices, services, schemes, projects, housing or development locations as dictated by the role

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Health & Safety Compliance Manager with experience in managing compliance, hazards, and H&S within a social housing setting or similar, strong communication skills and good management / leadership skills.

Working as the Health & Safety Compliance Manager you will ensure that the organisation meets all statutory regulations, Approved Codes of Practice (ACOP), official guidance standards and best practice.

As the Health & Safety Compliance Manager you will be responsible for managing landlord compliance across key safety areas, including gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos and water hygiene. You will ensure a robust risk management service to ensure performance is accurately monitored and reported.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Health & Safety Compliance Manager will include:

  • Ensure the organisation meets all statutory regulations, ACOP, official guidance standards and best practice
  • Manage landlord compliance across key safety areas
  • Ensure a robust risk management service
  • Ensure that compliance, health and safety policies and Group Practices are updated, implemented and adhered to in line with current legislation and group policy
  • Oversee health and safety policies, procedures, and inspections across all assets, while driving a culture of safety and compliance through effective leadership of your team, training and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborating with other teams across the organisation, you will maintain compliance schedules, manage risk assessments, and ensure incidents are investigated and resolved in line with legislation

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline, alongside HHSRS Risk Management training or certification
  • Proven experience in managing compliance, hazards, and health and safety within a social housing setting or similar
  • Strong track record in risk management, budget preparation, and contractor performance assessment
  • An exceptional leader, you will have experience effectively managing and motivating teams, combined with extensive knowledge of key compliance areas
  • With excellent attention to detail, you will thrive under pressure, delivering results to deadlines and managing conflicting priorities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • IT proficiency
  • A customer-focused approach
  • Ability to report on performance management and KPIs accurately
  • A motivated, detail-driven professional who can lead and embed a culture of compliance would be suitable for this role
