An exciting opportunity awaits you at phs Group, the leading hygiene services provider in the UK!A Health and Safety Coordinator position is now available at phs Head Office in Caerphilly. You’ll support our National Health & Safety Managers and all phs sites ensuring that the business remains compliant with legal and regulatory requirements. You’ll also ensure all data is accurate for legally required reporting, performance monitoring and measurement needs.This is an important role in an essential department for phs, and a great opportunity to develop in a career with us. Here are some of the areas you will be responsible for.Your role as Health & Safety Coordinator:
- Reviewing customer audits, updating Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes and supporting our customers and account managers via phone and email queries.
- Completing customer Hazard Waste Registrations and quarterly returns.
- Reviewing submitted incident information, collating incident statistics/data for the group and producing a report for analysis and strategic action by senior management.
- Maintaining the master action register, monitoring the progress of actions, and obtaining timely responses from Regional and Site Managers.
- Collating responses to internal audits, ensuring action plans are updated and recorded on the master action register.
- Managing the Safe Contractor accreditations admin process
- Collating any enforcement actions served to our divisions, recording them on the master action register and communicating them to the Regional Manager to address.
- Maintaining the managers Training Spreadsheet to ensure that all employees receive applicable health & safety and environmental training.
- Maintaining records of phs Group’s Waste Management Licences, Environmental Permits & Exemptions and ensuring that applicable matrices are kept up to date.
- Handling Tender Documentation/information requests on behalf of the department in order that the requested information is provided in a timely manner.
- Recording and producing minutes for management and team meetings.
The ideal candidate for our Health & Safety Coordinator role:You’ll need good computer literacy with all Microsoft Office applications, and be able to learn how to use our CRM systems including Salesforce.
