Our client a well established Manufacturing Organisation with sites across the UK are seeking aHealth and Safety, Quality, and Environmental Coordinator to join their business.

Location: Ideally the individual will be based in Newport or the South Wales Area

There would be the requirement for frequent travel , which could include travelling to any of our UK sites

Salary: £38,000 (plus 10% annual bonus & car allowance of £5,031.48 per annum)

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental Coordinator to join our client's team in the steel industry. Our client is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for their employees and ensuring compliance with quality and environmental standards.

It will be essential for candidates to possess a NEBOSH General Certificate and knowledge of ISO standards (9001/18001) would be desirable. Candidates should also have experience of working in a health and safety role within manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety-quality-environmental audits and inspections to assess compliance with company standards.
  • Complete audit checklists, identify areas of noncompliance, and develop action plans to address deficiencies.
  • Monitor site compliance with safety legislation, product standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Undertake specialist assessments and communicate findings to site management.
  • Support investigations into safety, quality, and environmental incidents, prepare reports, and implement necessary actions.
  • Maintain records, analyse safety, quality, and environmental data, and provide recommendations.
  • Train, support, and mentor personnel in the safety, quality, and environmental disciplines.
  • Assess and approve service and equipment suppliers based on safety, quality, and environmental criteria.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance overall performance in safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate is essential.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (9001/18001) is desirable.
  • Experience in a health and safety role within manufacturing is required.
  • Excellent technical proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Success Factors, ProSafety, Safety Action Tracker, and Quality Action Tracker.
  • Additional qualifications in Responsible Welding Coordination, Quality Assurance Management, and Machinery Safety Assessment/Occupational Measurements/Ergonomics are advantageous.

In addition to a competitive salary of £38,000 - £44,000 per annum (plus bonus and car allowance), our client offers a range of attractive benefits, including:
