BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety and Quality Manager to work for an expanding North East based manufacturing business on a permanent basis located in North Shields.

This is a key role within the business, and will be dealing with all aspects of the site HSQ regulations, with particular focus towards review of overall process with a view to continue to drive improvements to achieve the groups vision of increasing their carbon footprint.

Key Benefits they offer:

  • Salary range dependent on experience £40,000 to £45,000
  • Full-time permanent position
  • Working Hours - Mon to Thurs 8:00am - 5:00pm and Fri 8:00am - 4:00pm (30mins Lunch)

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the fulfilment of company Environmental (ISO 14001) , Health and Safety (ISO 45001), and Quality (ISO 9001) policies.
  • Act as a advisor with Group Environment and Quality/Health and Safety management, implementing Group Guidelines and procedures.
  • Arrange and conduct Internal Audits
  • Arrange and manage External and Supplier Audits
  • Ensure ongoing competence from site
  • Act as the primary contact with regulators and stakeholders, such as company insurers and HSE.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably required from time to time.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience Required

  • Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental, ISO 45001 Health and Safety and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience within the Manufacturing or Engineering Sector
  • Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A positive attitude to dealing with people.
  • Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual.
  • Capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.

Salary : 40000 - 45000
