BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety and Quality Manager to work for an expanding North East based manufacturing business on a permanent basis located in North Shields.
This is a key role within the business, and will be dealing with all aspects of the site HSQ regulations, with particular focus towards review of overall process with a view to continue to drive improvements to achieve the groups vision of increasing their carbon footprint.

- Salary range dependent on experience £40,000 to £45,000

- Working Hours - Mon to Thurs 8:00am - 5:00pm and Fri 8:00am - 4:00pm (30mins Lunch)

Key responsibilities
- Ensure the fulfilment of company Environmental (ISO 14001) , Health and Safety (ISO 45001), and Quality (ISO 9001) policies.
- Act as a advisor with Group Environment and Quality/Health and Safety management, implementing Group Guidelines and procedures.
- Arrange and conduct Internal Audits
- Arrange and manage External and Supplier Audits
- Ensure ongoing competence from site
- Act as the primary contact with regulators and stakeholders, such as company insurers and HSE.
- Perform other duties as reasonably required from time to time.
Skills, Knowledge And Experience Required
- Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental, ISO 45001 Health and Safety and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience within the Manufacturing or Engineering Sector
- Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A positive attitude to dealing with people.
- Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual.
- Capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
