Health & Safety Officer - THEHIREWORKS LTD : Job Details

We are currently working with an excellent organisation in Cambridge who are looking to hire a Health and Safety Officer on a permanent basis.

The role will be working on either a full-time, term time role (47 weeks per year) or a full-time role (52 weeks per year).

Typical duties would include:

• Advising on health and safety law for audits and investigations.
• Delivering health and safety training for staff to meet legal obligations.
• Maintaining health and safety training records and ensure staff are all up to date.
• To develop, review and implement policies and procedures and making sure they meet legislative requirements.
• Assessing the site for fire risk assessments and ensuring policies are followed throughout the buildings.

The successful candidate

• Previous experience working within a similar Health & Safety Role.
• IOSH qualified and working towards NEBOSH or similar.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Able to interpret legislation and explain to others in simple terms.
