Salary Scale 6/7 (points 29-33), currently £33,477 to £37,659 per annum.

Fircroft is a residential college occupying a former Cadbury family home, set in six acres of beautiful grounds in Selly
Oak, Birmingham. We were originally founded to provide educational opportunities for some of the most
disadvantaged and excluded members of society. More than one hundred years on from the birth of Fircroft College,
its mission of ‘social justice’ is more relevant than ever.

We are looking to appoint a Health & Wellbeing Tutor. The post holder will be required to plan and deliver the
college’s Health, Well-being and Personal Social Development provision across a range of levels. As a member of
the Education Team, you’ll undertake a teaching commitment from level RARPA courses through to Level 3 Access to
Health. You’ll contribute to the development of our curriculum and will collaborate with staff across the college to
ensure an excellent learner experience from initial assessment through to progression.
To be considered for this role you must have experience of teaching Health, Wellbeing and Personal & Social
Development and a Level 4 recognised teaching qualification (or the ability and willingness to gain one within a period
of 2 years from appointment). We’re looking for someone who holds a Level 4 qualification in a relevant area (or
who’s gained equivalent professional experience in Health, Wellbeing and Personal and Social Development).
The right person will be someone who enjoys working at a fast pace with a variety of different tasks, who is self-
managed with a strong work ethic, who has a positive outlook and a ‘can do’ attitude and is a completer / finisher.
